Nexus Alliance

Delivering reliable energy operations through integrated people and systems expertise

Nexus Alliance is a Nigerian services company with over two decades of experience servicing oil, gas, and power companies in Africa. From its beginnings as a training and human capital development company, Nexus has evolved into an asset performance company by developing capacity across the engineering, operations & maintenance, IT, fabrication, and installation industries. It now brings all its technical capabilities under one roof to serve the broader energy and infrastructure space in Nigeria and remains heavily invested in the growth of the country's oil & gas sector.

Developing Human Capital

Nexus' early days saw it successfully delivering the Shell Intensive Training Programme (SITP 2) under which it trained hundreds of graduates into employable manpower able to support the growth of local content. Since then, Nexus has been recognised as one of Nigeria's leading learning and competency development companies and has delivered programmes for the likes of NNPC (2007 - 2010), Shell (1998 - 2009), Nigeria LNG (2008), TotalEnergies (2007), Chevron (July 2011, 2019), and ExxonMobil (2004) notably. It is now bringing the same successful programme to support Nigerian independents as their build capacity to operate more assets in Nigeria and the region.

Its innovative training and development projects have significantly contributed to building local content across Nigeria's energy sector. Nexus now has a proven industry experience and faculty to help corporations develop a competent workforce by providing technical and management programs for technicians, engineers, and management cadre employees.

Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Integrity Support

By investing in key services providers such as Crestech Engineering (engineering consultancy), SPIE Oil & Gas Services (multi-technical services) and Aveon Offshore (fabrication), Nexus has grown its capabilities and participated in some of Nigeria's most challenging upstream and natural gas projects. Such investments continue to provide the company with a unique network of competences to tap into when required and position it as a one-stop-shop contractor for all operations & maintenance (O&M) services.

Nexus Alliance is also recognized by key international suppliers and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). It is a representative of Mitsui in Nigeria, and a trading partner of Nippon Steel for oil-country tubular goods (OCTG).

The company is now able to operate & maintain critical energy assets and provide asset integrity services for a wide range of infrastructure projects. It has already delivered pre-startup, commissioning, post-startup, and shutdown readiness services for Nigeria LNG – Africa’s biggest LNG export terminal - and Shell's Bonga FPSO among others.

Its Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and corrosion management services are also in operation at over 17 major energy installations in Nigeria, including the Shell Soku gas plant.

Leveraging Technology

To accompany energy companies and infrastructure developers in their digital transformation, Nexus can design, implement and support Enterprise Resource Planning Solutions (e.g. SAP), and implement efficient IT Infrastructure Management Services and systems. This includes key natural gas companies, including the Gas Aggregation Company of Nigeria (GACN), for which Nexus developed a software system used for the seamless administration of the gas aggregation process that enables GACN to carry out its obligations both under GSAA and Price Aggregation Rules Agreements.

Nexus’ asset performance management services also increasingly rely on technology, offering predictive technologies, data monitoring, and data management services that can support cutting-edge maintenance.
